RAIPUR: PHD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE in association with Ministry of Food Processing Industries and Govt. of Chhattisgarh is organizing an Exhibition cum Conference “Food Tech” Chhattisgarh at Govt Science College Ground, Raipur, from 4-5th Feb 2012.
“Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Dr Raman Singh as the Chief Guest and Dr. Charan Das Mahant, Minister for Agriculture and Food Processing, Govt. of India as Guest of Honour have kindly agreed to inaugurate the FoodTech.” PHD spokesman informed INDIACSR here in Raipur.
The overall objective of FoodTech is to make the farmers & food processors aware of MOFPI, APEDA, MSME, State Government Schemes and to educate farmers and processors about various innovative agriculture and processing techniques. Besides exhibition, seminars are being planned on various important topics.
Expected Foot falls would be more than 10-12 thousand in 2 days during the event which would include Food processors from across the State. Food Processing (Khadya Sansadhan), Food Technology (Khadya Prodyogiki), Facilitations (Sewayein) pavilions are being created.
The Food Tech Raipur is the third in the series of such events being organized by the Chamber to educate & impart knowledge of latest technology & methods to farmers. Earlier PHD Chamber has organized similar Agri – Technology & Trade Show, Farmtech, in Bhopal & Jaipur in 2011 with the state governments as the host state. Both the events received huge appreciation from all the stakeholders.
Apart from Ministry of Food Processing Industries Several State Government Departments like Forest Department, Horticulture & Agriculture Dept, Industry Dept, also self Help groups, Women & Child development Dept., are participating in the Exhibition. Further the exhibition will exhibit by way of stalls the corporates dealing in Production, Processing and Packaging of various food products. Apart from this Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Public and Private Sector Banks, Insurance & Financial Institutions, Agriculture University are participating in the Event.
