Mukul Madhav Foundation and Finolex Industries brighten up EID celebrations in Mumbai
The COVID 19 pandemic and the lockdown has severely impacted the life of scores of people. To brighten up their spirits and offer a ray of hope, Mukul Madhav Foundation, the CSR wing of the Finolex Industries Limited teamed up with celebrity Chef Vikas Khanna to celebrate EID with gusto and spirit.
In a one of a kind initiative, the foundation along with other like-minded donors have ensured that the clusters of low-income households in Dharavi, Haji Ali and Muhammad Ali Road will continue to celebrate EID with zeal and enthusiasm, keeping aside the looming darkness of global pandemic. The foundation has supplied dry rations, fruits and vegetables to 5,000 families in these cluster group.
Ritu Chhabria, Managing Trustee at Mukul Madhav Foundation said, “The pandemic has hugely impacted citizens globally and the weaker sections of society are furthermore vulnerable and impacted. As a responsible citizen, it was our way of lighting up lives and giving hope that we are all together even in these difficult times.”
The Mukul Madhav Foundation has been a frontline warrior in the fight against COVID-19 and has extended all possible help to the needy. They handed over PPE suits, ventilators, disinfectants and other essential commodities to hospitals and organizations across Pune and surrounding areas.
The foundation also extended a helping hand to migrants and the daily wage earners in Pune by providing them with groceries. Also, Finolex Industries and Mukul Madhav Foundation have supported not only in districts of Maharashtra but extended their support to neighbourhood states like Jharkhand, Gujarat, West Bengal to name a few.
