JODA: Tata Steel will set-up a new community centre at Deojhar village in Keonjhar district of Odisha for which the groundbreaking ceremony was organised today.
Present during the occasion were Mr Mangal Munda, Sarpanch, Deojhar Gram Panchayat, Rahul Kishore, Head, Katamati Iron Mine, Tata Steel, Tulsidas Ganvir, Unit Head, Tata Steel Foundation along with senior members from the community.
While, the community centre is being constructed at Murgabeda village, a Keertan Mandap is also being constructed at Kitabeda village. The construction of the community centre and Keertan Mandap will be completed in the next few months.
Speaking on the occasion, Mangal Munda said: “We are grateful to Tata Steel for the assistance provided for this project. This community centre and Keertan Mandap will be extremely helpful for all the locals residing in Murgabeda and Kitabeda villages.”
The new community centre dedicated to the community residing in Murgabeda and Kitabeda villages will enable the community to organise cultural, religious and other community driven events. The centre will also serve as a platform for hosting academic and awareness sessions for youngsters in the villages.
