MUMBAI: Tata International, in association with Aseema Charitable Trust, a Mumbai based NGO engaged in the education and skill development of underprivileged children, gifted some of the popular models of its Stryder bicycles to some of the best secondary class students (girls and boys) of a Municipal school at Santa Cruz (W), Mumbai. The bicycles were handed over at a small function held on 9th January 2015, attended by the students and teachers of the school alongwith teams from Aseema and Tata International.
This was the first time such a gift had been made to any student at the school and recipients were greatly motivated by the recognition. The criteria for the selection of awardees included attendance at school, academic performance and achievements at inter-school sporting activities and competitions.
The young recipients were called upon to speak of their dreams and were at ease addressing a large gathering.
Tata International will continue to be engaged with the community through meaningful support to the underprivileged and encourage volunteering.
