In addition, the company supported Mobile Medicare Units in partnership with non-profit organizations. These units travel to rural communities and provide medical consultations, diagnostic services, and essential medicines.

The annual report also notes that medical camps and health awareness programs were organized in several villages. These initiatives focus on early detection of diseases and improving access to primary healthcare services.

According to the annual report, the company implemented several programs aimed at improving access to quality education for students from economically weaker backgrounds.

One of the key initiatives is the Jammu Super 30 program, which provides coaching and residential support to talented students from underprivileged communities. The program helps students prepare for competitive engineering entrance examinations.

The report highlights that many participants of the program have secured admission to prestigious engineering institutions across India.

Petronet LNG also partnered with the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET) to support the Naipunyam skill development program in Kochi.

This initiative provides specialized technical training to young people, helping them acquire skills required for employment in industrial sectors.

In addition, the company supported infrastructure development in schools, including the construction of classrooms, laboratories, and libraries.

Women empowerment is another key focus area of Petronet LNG’s CSR programs.

According to the annual report, 14.01 percent of the company’s CSR commitment was directed toward initiatives supporting women and girls.

One of the most notable initiatives during the year was the “Wheels of Change” program, under which 3,500 bicycles were distributed to school-going girls in Navsari, Gujarat.

The report highlights that the initiative aims to reduce school dropout rates by making it easier for girls to travel to schools located far from their homes.

In addition, the company distributed sewing machines to women from economically weaker sections, enabling them to start small home-based businesses.

These initiatives aim to promote financial independence and improve livelihood opportunities for women in rural communities.

According to the annual report, around 5.75 percent of CSR spending was allocated to environmental protection initiatives.

One of the key projects involved the restoration of coastal biodiversity at Munambam and Kuzhupilly beaches in Kerala.

The annual report highlights that such programs support ecological balance while improving green cover in industrial areas.

Support to National Funds

In addition to community development projects, Petronet LNG contributed to national relief and development funds.

According to the annual report, the company’s CSR Committee of the Board oversees the planning and monitoring of CSR initiatives.

The committee reviews project proposals, approves budgets, and monitors the progress of ongoing projects.

Before launching any CSR project, the company conducts needs assessments in consultation with local communities to identify priority areas.

Independent agencies also conduct impact assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of completed projects.

Continuing Commitment to Social Development

Petronet LNG’s CSR spending of Rs 67.24 crore in FY2024–25 reflects the company’s commitment to community development alongside its energy business.

Through initiatives focused on healthcare, education, women empowerment, and environmental sustainability, the company aims to improve living conditions in communities connected to its operations.
