HYDERABAD: Synchrony Financial, a premier consumer financial services company with 80 years of retail heritage, today donated a mobile van to LV Prasad Eye Institute as a part of its initiative “All for Eyes.”
Margaret Keane, President and CEO of Synchrony Financial, along with members of her leadership team, donated a mobile van to enable LV Prasad Institute staff to reach cornea donors in a timely manner to ensure donated corneas can be successfully transplanted to the needy.
Eye care in India is an expensive proposition and though there are many modern eye institutes in Hyderabad, they lack equipment and facilities for the poor. Synchrony Financial and its employee-led People with Disabilities Network identified the need to support eye care for the poor in Hyderabad and have introduced the “All for Eyes” program to build more patronage for the cause.
“We at Synchrony Financial are highly impressed by the work done by the LV Prasad Eye Institute and extend our support to them through our program All for Eyes,” Keane said. “We hope that the new mobile van can assist the LV Prasad Eye Institute to reach many more people in many more geographic areas and increase the number of patients served by the Institute.”, Keane added.
In addition to the mobile van, Synchrony Financial presented a check for Rs. 6 lakhs to LV Prasad Eye Institute. The Synchrony Financial team also organized a 5K run to create awareness for the ‘All of Eyes’ program.
