RAIPUR (India CSR): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic explosion at a sponge iron factory located in the Bakulahi area of Balodabazar district.
Describing the incident as extremely painful and heartbreaking, the Chief Minister said the state has lost innocent lives in this unfortunate accident.
At least six workers were killed in the devastating explosion, while five others sustained serious injuries. The injured workers have been referred to Bilaspur for better and advanced medical treatment.
The Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased workers and said that the state government stands firmly with the affected families in this hour of grief. He assured that all possible assistance would be provided to the bereaved families.
Sai has directed the district administration to ensure that there is no lapse in the treatment of the injured and that they receive the best possible medical facilities. He has also ordered a thorough and factual investigation into the causes of the accident to prevent such incidents in the future.
Emphasizing that the safety of workers is the top priority of the state government, the Chief Minister stated that any negligence in following safety norms in industrial units will not be tolerated.
