LANJIGARH: Sesa Sterlite under its corporate Social responsibility has taken new initiative towards generating employment and providing health facilities by O & G ward.On the occasion Collector Kalahandi Sjkt Bijay Ketan Upadhay attended the function as Chief Guest in the presence of Other dignitaries like Sukant Tripathy-Sub Collctor, Bhawanipatna, Dr Mukesh Kumar, COO & President, Sesa Sterlite Limited, Kailash Chandra Nayak-Tahsildar Lanjigarh Tehsil and Jalaj Malpani Finance Head-SSL and laid the foundation stone of both the function.
On his speech Collector and DM, Kalahandi Said “Sesa Sterlite has taken various initiatives towards the development of area through its various CSR projects in term of Health, Education, Livelihood and Infrastructure; but this is the one kind of project which will be directly benefit the local youths for creating entrepreneurship in the society. O & G wards is the requirement of the place which will serve health facilities to the Mother and child at their villages. He also advised to Sesa Sterlite authorities to do more and more people friendly project in the area which can strengthen the people with socio economically strong in the future.
Addressing to the community Dr Mukesh Kumar, COO & President of Sesa Sterlite Says, “Sesa Sterlite has always been trying for creating the region developed in term of health and livelihood. The green Vending Zone project is a new initiative towards creating income to the local youths in a cost of Rs.50 Lakh and the O & G Ward will make the people benefitted in term of Cost, lives and quality treatment.
The O & G wards for mother and child has been budgeted with an amount 1 Crore under LPADF.(Lanjigarh Project Area Development Foundation) which consists up 20 bedded initially .This can be helpful to the people of Lanjigarh for Cost Saving, Lives Saving and getting better treatment at the doorstep. Initially the villagers depends on Bissam Cuttack and Bhawanipatna for medical facility which are at a distance of 50 k.ms and above.
Other presented in the eve are Koustav Ratan Kundu Head HR, Biraja Shankar Mund, Nabal Sharma, Ranjan Sharma, Chitta Panigrahi, Sweta Upadhay,Alka Minj, Tapaswini Ray etc. The Stage has been managed by Sanjiv Prusty and other has been supported by Alok Gaya,Sidhartha Behera,Srikant Bohidar, Srimukh Agasty etc.Villagers like Dhan Majhi, Sridhar Pesnia, Chandra Pesnia, Subash Agrawal, Trinath Mahakud and village head presented and praised company for doing such type of works in region.
