NAVI MUMBAI: SBI, LHO Mumbai Metro has donated Rs.10 lacs to Aashtraya Trust for installation of an elevator in Aashray Special School at Sanpada, Navi Mumbai, from SBI Children Welfare Fund, as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.
The elevator was inaugurated and handed over to the school management today by Shri P.K. Gupta, Managing Director (Retail and Digital Banking), SBI, in a simple function organized at the School. School kits were also distributed among the students.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion were G. Ravindranath, CGM, SBI, Mumbai Metro, Capt. Surya Prasad Rao, Chairman, Aashray Trust, P. Lakshmanan, Trustee, Aashray Trust, Nagmani Rao, Principal, Aashray Special School, Rajesh K Beskhiyar, DGM & CDO, Mumbai Metro, G.Apparao, DGM (B&O), SBI, Thane Zone, Krishkant Bishnoi, Regional Manager, SBI, RO, Sanpada and parents of some students. Capt. S.P. Rao, Chairman, Chairman of the Aashray Trust thanked SBI for extending help to the School for the noble cause.
The Aashray Trust is running Aashray Special School at Sanpada, Navi Mumbai for differently abled but mentally challenged children. There are 75 students in the school with varied degrees of disabilities and coming from different strata of society.
