BENGALURU (India CSR): Sasken Technologies Limited, a leading global product engineering and digital transformation services company, today announced a significant milestone in its sustainability journey, achieving energy neutrality across all its India locations. This achievement underscores the company’s unwavering commitment towards environmental sustainability and sets a benchmark for the industry.
1. Commitment to Renewable Energy
Sasken’s energy neutrality journey is a testament to its innovative spirit and commitment to sustainability. The Bengaluru campus stands out as a renewable energy champion, with a remarkable 94% of its energy needs met directly from wind turbines. The Chennai facility also contributes to the clean energy mix with 22% of its power coming from a combination of wind and solar sources. Across all facilities in Pune, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Chennai, a significant 78% of energy requirements are fulfilled through renewable sources.
2. Achieving 100% Green Energy Footprint
To bridge the remaining gap and achieve a 100% green energy footprint, Sasken strategically utilizes International Renewable Energy Certificates (I-REC). This achievement solidifies Sasken’s position as an energy neutral organization for its Inda operations, marking a significant stride towards meeting its ambitious SCOPE 2 carbon emission targets.

Over the past six years, Sasken has successfully reduced its carbon footprint by 62% in its India operations through a systematic and focused approach. We have set an ambitious target to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. Based on current trends, we are on track to achieve this milestone a year ahead of schedule.
