India CSR, a pioneering CSR media group, has announced CSR, Corporate and Sustainability leaders Roma Balwani as the jury chair who will be judging India Sustainability Awards 2022 along with other jury members.
India Sustainability Awards will be presented during India ESG – Sustainability Summit 2022 on 31st May 2022 (4:30 PM – 6:00 PM) at Yashwantrao Chavan Auditorium, Nariman Point, Mumbai. Corporates, changemaker and civil society organization will be honored with India Sustainability Awards for their Sustainability best practices, innovation and initiatives.
India Sustainability Awards is established by India CSR, India’s largest Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility (CSR) media organisation. The aim of the India CSR Sustainability Awards is to recognise and reward excellence towards sustainability best practices of businesses in India.
About Jury Chair – Roma Balwani
Roma Balwani, a Graduate in Economics, with a Post-Graduation in Marketing from Mumbai University, is a Brand & Communications Specialist. Former Sr. Advisor, Vedanta Group.
Her role in the group encompassed advisory on robust brand strategy for the group which has focus on giving back to communities & society at large and as a natural resource major contributing towards nation building that help in economic development of our country and position One Vedanta brand to diverse stakeholders across India and globally. She is also an Independent Director of John Cockerill, India and chairs the CSR & NRC committees. JCIL is the Indian hub of Industry Metals vertical of John Cockerill SA, which is the world leader in the conception, manufacture and installation of reversible cold rolling mills headquartered in Belgium.
Roma has over three decades of experience in various aspects of strategic communications. In her previous roles as President, Group Communication, CSR and Sustainable Development at Vedanta Resources plc. She has overseen the key portfolios of Sustainability & CSR and champions best practices for sustainable measures on health, safety and environment to sustain the ‘social license to operate’. The community development initiatives focusing on education, women empowerment and health.
