ANGUL: Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. Angul Unit, celebrated National Road Safety Week from 11th January 2015 to 17th January 2015 at its Angul Plant. Like every year, this year also the Company organized various sensitization programmes to create road safety-awareness among the employees, workers, commuters and transporters. Some of the activities included display of safety messages throughout its plant, distribution of leaflets etc. among its employees and workers were also done. Apart from this students of OP Jindal School were also participated in an awareness rally and spread the message of “importance of safety measure in our life”.
On this occasion Mr. Dinesh Kumar Saraogi, Executive Director (I/c) and Location Head said, “We have adopted high standard of safety measures for our workforce and our aim is zero harm not only in their work place but also in every body’s day-to-day life”. Observing such a week long event really puts the word in our mind that “safety is everything”.
The event was successfully conducted by Mr. Kaushalendra Singh, AVP-HSE; Mr. B.P Singh, GM-Safety; Dr. P.C Nipaney, GM-Safety and his entire team with the support of other departments.
