The Jio Bharat phone offers FM radio, a 0.3MP camera, expandable storage, a headphone jack, and a torch. It sports a 1.77-inch QVGA TFT display and a removable 1000mAh battery. The phone supports UPI payments through JioPay and provides access to JioCinema for movies, videos, and sports entertainment. Additionally, users can enjoy JioSaavn, which offers a vast collection of over 8 crore songs in multiple languages.
Affordable Connectivity Plans with More Data
Jio Bharat phone 4G users can choose from two connectivity plans. The 28-day plan priced at Rs 123 offers 14 GB of data (0.5 GB per day) and unlimited voice calls. This plan is 30% cheaper than other operators’ offerings and provides seven times more data. There is also a yearly plan available for Rs 1,234, providing unlimited voice calls and 168 GB of data (0.5 GB per day). This yearly plan is 25% cheaper and offers seven times more data than competitors.
Reliance Jio’s Mission: 2G-Mukt Bharat
Reliance Jio aims to bring internet-enabled phones to the existing 250 million feature phone users on 2G networks in India. Other phone brands, starting with Karbonn, will adopt the ‘Jio Bharat platform’ to build Jio Bharat phones. The beta trial for the first 1 million JioBharat phones will commence on July 7 and cover 6,500 tehsils across the country.
