MUMBAI: Led by Founder and Chairperson Nita M Ambani, Reliance Foundation has launched a widespread cleanliness campaign in its operational areas, in support of the Swachhta Hi Seva campaign, initiated by Govt. of India, statement said.
In Foundation operational areas in Bidar, Karnataka, school children, panchayat development officers, taluka officers, teachers and members of the foundation supported village associations all led an oath-taking ceremony, where all villagers pledged to keep their villages and homes clean.
A door-to-door campaign was organised to create awareness on different measures of sanitation and hygiene, with participants circulating pamphlets to villagers detailing different measures of cleanliness and hygiene.
In Gadag, itsupported village associations and local school teachers led an awareness rally, discussing issues related to cleanliness and hygiene at each doorstep. The rally culminated in a solemn oath taking ceremony, with all participants pledging to keep their villages clean and hygienic.
