The bat was auctioned for a whopping Rs. 72 lakhs (1 Lakh GBP), one of the most expensive cricketing gears ever sold till date. The funds raised through the auction of this prized bat will be going towards MS Dhoni’s wife’s charitable organization, Sakshi Foundation, which works for the benefit of under-privileged children. Most of the cricketing gears of the Indian skipper used in the World Cup finals were being auctioned at the event, the bat fetching the highest bid.
