WEST BOKARO: The month-long celebrations of Quality Month at Tata Steel’s West Bokaro division concluded with a mega event on Tuesday at its Auditorium in West Bokaro.
The event was graced by Sanjay Kumar Singh, General Manager (Coal), Tata Steel along with Mohan Mahto, President, Rastriya Colliery Mazdoor Sangh (RCMS) and Sahabji Kuchroo, Chief of Operations, West Bokaro Division.
A beeline of competitions were organised during the month long celebrations including quiz, slogan, essay and poem writing competitions.
The winners of these competitions were felicitated on the occasion by the dignitaries. ‘Engineering Services Department’ won the ‘Best Department in Total Quality Management (TQM) Promotion’ award. The new reward distribution system for the improvement initiatives was also launched on the occasion.
Congratulating the winners on the occasion, Sanjay Kumar Singh, General Manager (Coal), Tata Steel said: “Employees have a big role to play in improvement initiatives which is essential for the company’s growth. Safety and quality should be made a part of the daily routine”.
More than 200 persons including employees, officers and vendors participated in the event.
