Govt’s efforts to promote digital education through National Education Policy are hindered by affordability and location barriers, making education a distant dream for many.
Digital Education is a part of mainstream learning for most of our students with access to devices and the internet. But a majority of school students in semi-urban and rural parts of India still lack access to educational resources. To address this issue, some entrepreneurs have come together to develop Primebook, an affordable, secure and feature rich android laptop specially designed for learning use.
Recently, the founders of Primebook appeared on Shark Tank India Season 2 to pitch their Primebook laptop. iDream Education is in partnership with Primebook since both companies share a common goal of providing universal access to education, with Primebook as an affordable and secure android laptop and iPrep as an all-inclusive and bilingual learning platform for K-12. Together, they collaborate where Prime Books are preloaded with digital content and a learning platform for 1st to 12th by iPrep to empower students studying at CBSE and State Board Schools across India.
A Closer Look at Episode
The founders of Primebook highlighted the importance of device compatibility in digital education. They explained how their device is compatible with android apps, making it easier for students to access digital learning materials. They also emphasized the affordability of their device, as many government school students in India still face barriers to education due to the cost of technology and geographical location.
Despite the efforts of the government to promote digital education and digital literacy through the National Education Policy, education still remains a dream for many students due to affordability and location barriers. With only 1 out of 10 students having access to laptops, it is clear that more needs to be done to address these issues and make education accessible to all.
Here, they emphasized the importance of building a system that aligns with the android application to provide students with an easy and seamless learning experience like Primebook with iPrep by iDream Education which works seamlessly both offline and online, making a strong value proposition as an all-inclusive learning device for students.
This partnership aims to make high-quality education accessible and affordable to students, regardless of their location or socioeconomic status. Therefore, this collaboration is a positive sign for the social sector, demonstrating a commitment to empowering learners to Learn Unlimited.
