Ranchi: Jharkhand’s Chief Minister, Raghubar Das laid the foundation stone of ‘Power Grid Vishram Sadan’ at RIMS Ranchi as a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
According to a publication, this Rs. 15 Crore project will have five floors. With a capacity of 245 beds, the Vishram Sadan will have various facilities like dining area, canteen, water cooler, grocery stores, etc. About 3000 patients and their relatives visit RIMS daily, for treatment who will get the benefit from ‘Power Grid Vishram Sadan’ immensely. In recent years, about 33 projects of about Rs. 35 crores have been initiated under CSR by Powergrid in Jharkhand.
The Chief Guest, R. K. Singh, Union Minister of State (I/c) for Power, New & Renewable Energy, and Minister of State Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, present on occasion praised the CSR efforts of the company.
“I want to congratulate PowerGrid for undertaking this noble work through CSR for the poor. Such Vishram Sadans will be constructed by the company in seven cities of the country so that the poor do not suffer”, said R.K. Singh.
Shri Ram Chandra Chandrawanshi, Health Minister, Jharkhand, Shri Sanjay Seth, MP, Ranchi, Shri Jitu Charan Ram, MLA, Kanke, Shri Ravi P. Singh, Chairman & Managing Director, Powergrid, other dignitaries & senior officials from Powergrid and RIMS were present on this occasion.
