Rummy is one of the more popular card games played by Indian gamblers and you can find this game being featured at many online casinos that cater to Indian players. There are many variations of the game that can be enjoyed and since it is such a popular option for Indians, online casinos have started to offer this great game to be played for free and for real money.

Each online casino that caters to Indian gamblers will have variations of the game that will be called Indian rummy. This is a combination of Rummy 500 and Gin and the game can offer hours of entertainment and some excellent chances to win payouts. If you are a new player and want to get in on the action of this game, read on. We offer some information on game rules and how to choose the best casinos to engage in real money play.

Intro to Indian Rummy

If you are ready to enjoy playing rummy online, here is a brief overview of the game and basic rules for winning. You will find this game to be presented at many leading casinos and there will always be various betting options to cater to any sized budget.

Indian Rummy is also called Paplu and it is a card game that has been enjoyed for years. The aim of the game is to create sets using 13 cards that will be dealt to every player. Each player will have the opportunity to draw and discard cards in turns until one is able to form sets using the 13 cards. They will then declare Rummy and will be the winner of the game.

One of the great things about playing Indian Rummy is the use of Jokers or Wild Cards. These can be used to take the place of any card in the deck to help complete sets or sequences. Straight runs are those that are created with no wild cards and you will have to create at least one of these for any other combinations to be valid.

To win the game, players will have to create at least two runs using the 13 cards and one of these must be a straight run. Most winning hands will consist of four different combinations of runs or sets.

Indian Rummy Variations

When you choose to play rummy at an online casino, you may come across one of three variations. Each site will have different games based on what software provider is being used. The three main types of Indian rummy include points rummy, deals rummy, and pool rummy.

  • Points Rummy – With this game, the player that declares rummy first will be the winner. Payouts will be determined by calculating the points of other players and multiplied by the monetary value of these points.
  • Deals Rummy – Here, a winner will be named after the game is played for a set number of rounds. Points from all rounds are calculated and the player with the lowest point total will win.
  • Pool Rummy – This game involves setting a points limit and as players reach and cross that limit, they are eliminated from the game. The last player remaining will be the winner. Pool rummy is one of the longest forms of the game and it is not commonly featured at online casinos since it may take many rounds for a player to win.

No matter what games players enjoy, there are some amazing Indian rummy games offered online, try these for free in a demo mode before wagering or jump right into the account and start to win today!
