RAIGARH: The ‘Savitri Devi Jindal Kelo Bridge’ at Raigarh was inaugurated today by Dr. Raman Singh, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh and Naveen Jindal, Chairman, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL), through a ribbon cutting ceremony and unveiling of the plaque at a public function. This is the another infrastructure development project in the Raigarh, where JSPL’s 3 MTPA steel and captive plant is located.
Naveen Jindal, Chairman, JSPL, in his brief opening remarks said that the bridge will give an additional boost to the development of Raigarh region. He informed that the bride is constructed under Corporate Social Responsibility Project. Naveen Jindal thanked to Dr. Raman Singh for inaugurating the bridge. He said that JSPL is committed for the development of Raigarh. “The company will continue to give shape to many more projects in days to come”, he added.
Dr Raman Singh, CM of Chhattisgarh did not addressed the gathering.
“The entire facility, i.e., 100m bridge, 200m approach roads on either side, power supply, lighting, etc., is designed, supplied and constructed by JSPL at the cost of 6.90 Crore rupees.”, a senior official of JSPL informed IndiaCSR.

It is worth mentioning that Dr Raman Singh dedicated ‘O P Jindal Kelo Setu’, a steel girder bridge, built at a cost of more than Rs. 3 Crore, on March 17, 2007 at Raigarh.
