ANGUL: The Chairman of Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. (JSPL), Naveen Jindal celebrated the Lord Vishwakarma Puja at JSPL’s Angul Plant today with thousand of workers, employees and local villagers. A Puja Pandal with artistic decoration was put up at plant premises to worship the Divine Architect Lord Viswakarma .
Attending the puja function Naveen Jindal performed Aarti of Lord Vishwakarma and prayed for the wellbeing of one and all. Workers, employees with their family members and the villagers from the periphery areas joined him during the Aarti and Puja.
Angul Location Head and Executive Director of the unit Dinesh Kumar Saraogi, Jindal Mahila Samita (JMS) President Sujata Saraogi, with all the Department Heads, senior officers and their family members took part in the puja rituals.
On this occasion, expressing his warm wishes to one all Naveen Jindal, said, “May the divine blessing of the Deva Shipi Lord Sri Viswakarma be bestowed upon all of us for development of the Plant and the Angul region. I solicit Lord’s Blessings for the People of Odisha and our Country men to further the advancement of Making in India”.
Members of local Farmers’ Club and self help group (SHG), promoted by JSPL showcased their farm produces and handicraft products in a stall. Jindal was happy over the support Company for the community actions through promotion of Farmers’ Club, Women SHGs and micro entrepreneurship and advised the CSR Team to help such community entrepreneurship for market linkage in multiple ways.
He also visited thematic stalls displayed by Safety, Power Plant, DRI and other departments. The people from the periphery, family members of employees displayed their warm enthusiasm to greet Jindal and took several group photographs and selfies with Jindal.
The Puja was organised with intensive community interface with the management by the HR & Admin Dept led by AVP Alok Malhotra and Basant Mishra in coordination CSR and Corporate Communication Depts of JSPL Angul.
