Mukesh Ambani Believes Indian Entrepreneurs Can Achieve Greatness Like Dhirubhai Ambani and Bill Gates
There’s no doubt that India’s second richest person and industrialist Mukesh Ambani is a firm believer and contributor to India’s growth story. Not only has he expressed his trust and confidence in the Indian economy time and again but his conglomerate Reliance Industrialist added close to 2.32 lakh jobs across all businesses during FY22.
Announcing that RIL’s contribution to national exchequer grew 39 per cent to Rs. 188,012crore this year, during the 45th AGM in August, Ambani had called the move a contribution by Reliance to India’s prosperity and progress. And this isn’t the industrialist’s first attempt at showing his belief in the country, instead, he had once said that every small business or entrepreneur has the potential to become a Dhirubhai Ambani (RIL founder) or Microsoft-co-founder Bill Gates and this is what differentiates us from the rest of the world!
Ambani, who believes in the country and the potential of its entrepreneurs, had once said that any entrepreneur in India can become like his father or even the world’s fourth richest man – Gates. Recalling how his late father Dhirubhai Ambani had started Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), a Fortune 500 company and the largest private sector corporation in India, with a table and a chair and a thousand rupees about 50 years decades ago, Ambani spoke of the entrepreneurial power that India has at the grassroots.
The industrialist had also stressed on how India has transformed tremendously over the past two decades from being a $300 billion economy in early 1990s to becoming a $3 trillion economy in 2020. India is on track to become one of the top three economies of the world, he had noted.
