NEW DELHI (India CSR): Shrom India, a purpose-driven wellness and sustainability brand founded by environmental advocate Vanshi Gupta, has officially introduced its handcrafted collection of herbal, charcoal-free incense products, created entirely from recycled temple flower waste. Designed for meditation, yoga, aromatherapy, and conscious living, the collection marks a significant shift toward safe, eco-friendly fragrances in India’s evolving wellness landscape.

Launched in March 2024, Shrom India was born with a singular purpose: to convert waste into wellness. Derived from the Hindi words “Shram” (labor) and “Aarom” (aroma), the name reflects the brand’s philosophy of intentional craftsmanship and purity. The collection includes organic incense cones, incense sticks, havan cups, and herbatti, each crafted through a meticulous process that transforms discarded temple flowers into meaningful, sustainable offerings.

Reviving Tradition Through Sustainability

Temple flowers, once used as sacred offerings, often end up discarded in rivers across India, contributing significantly to water pollution. Shrom India addresses this challenge through a thoughtful recycling model that restores dignity to these offerings while reducing their ecological footprint.

Every Shrom India product is 100% natural, chemical-free, and handcrafted, making it safe for individuals with allergies, respiratory sensitivities, eczema, and fragrance intolerance. Subtle and calming rather than overpowering, these aromas create ideal environments for meditation, mindfulness, and emotional clarity.

A Personal Journey Toward a Purpose

Shrom India’s creation stems from two deeply personal experiences. Founder Vanshi Gupta, during routine temple visits, became increasingly aware of the environmental harm caused by floral waste. Simultaneously, her family’s sensitivity to synthetic fragrances — triggering headaches, rashes, and respiratory issues — revealed a significant gap in the market for safe, organic aromatic products.

Motivated by these challenges, Vanshi embarked on a year-long journey of experimentation and research. The outcome was a refined collection of herbal, organic, charcoal-free incense, launched in April 2024, reflecting a balanced integration of tradition, sustainability, and well-being.

Vision, Mission & Core Philosophy

Shrom India envisions a future where spirituality and sustainability coexist harmoniously. By reducing religious waste and promoting eco-conscious rituals, the brand aims to foster mindful consumer behavior while creating livelihood opportunities for women and youth.

Its mission — “Turning Sacred Offerings into Sustainable Solutions” — guides every stage of its innovation.

Guided by the philosophy Innovate, Inspire & Impact, Shrom India remains committed to merging tradition with modern wellness, crafting products that benefit both people and the planet.

Founder’s Statement

“At Shrom India, our purpose has always been deeply personal,” says Vanshi Gupta, Founder of Shrom India. “When I saw temple flowers harming the rivers they were meant to bless — and when synthetic fragrances affected my own home — I knew something had to change. Shrom India is our way of honoring tradition without compromising the planet or people’s health. Every product we create is a step toward mindful living — pure, calming, and rooted in sustainability.”

She further adds, “We believe wellness should never come at the cost of the environment. By transforming sacred waste into meaningful, eco-friendly products, we hope to inspire a cultural shift toward responsible rituals and conscious consumption.”

About the Founder

Vanshi Gupta, an MBA in Finance and Marketing, leads ShromIndia with a strong commitment to environmental protection and women’s empowerment. Her leadership style blends strategic oversight with hands-on involvement, ensuring each product aligns with the brand’s guiding principles: purity, sustainability, and meaningful impact.
