BHUBANESWAR: In line with the company’s policy to serve the local community, the Aditya Birla Group Company, Utkal Alumina in association with District Red Cross Society, has organized one mega Blood Donation Camp at its CSR Complex premises today.
N. Nagesh, Unit Head & President inaugurated the Camp by lightening the lamp. As many as 180 employees and family members from Utkal Alumina, partner companies and villagers came forward for this noble cause and donated blood enthusiastically.
While inaugurating the Camp, Nagesh said “Blood donation is a noble work. Which helps in protecting the lives of the people. Utkal Alumina is always engaged in doing this type of camp at regular intervals and we will accelerate the same, added Mr Nagesh.
In his address, Raghunath Pratihari said, “This noble work of blood donation contributes largely to the welfare of humanity. Everybody should come forward to donate their blood which is used for a noble cause, he pointed out.
A donor Mrs Gitika Mishra said ‘’ It is a very pious work and I have always been associated with the same. She also appealed the women folk to come forward and donate their blood voluntarily.
In this camp, the VP HR of Utkal Alumina Raghunath Pratihari, VP Vivek Dubey, AVP P V Krishnan, Rabinarayan Mishra, Abinash Panda, Sr. GM (Admin) Rakesh Mishra, DGM-CSR Siba Mohapatra and the Red Cross Doctor, the CSR team members were present in the camp.
The Blood Bank Officer handed over a memento of appreciation to Utkal Alumina on behalf of Red Cross Society.
