NEW DELHI: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) – Centre for Corporate Education, Training and Consultancy (CCETC) today announced that it will be commencing the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme in Corporate Governance. As per sources, the programme will commence in January 2011.
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) was announced the introduction of a two-year full time Master Business Administration (MBA) programme in corporate governance last year in December. The application forms (hard and soft copy) will be available from March 31, 2011 and the last date for its receipt is April 30, 2011.
A graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate marks from a recognised university or 45 per cent for reserved category are eligible to apply for the programme.
All the eligible applicants will be required to appear for a test, group discussion and a personal interview for final selection.
The test, group discussion as well as the personal interview will start from first week of June and the classes will commence from first week of July 2011.
With this, another full-time programme has been added to the exhaustive list of university’s Centre for Corporate Education, Training and Consultancy (CCETC).

The programme will also stresses on the significance of business ethics at the grassroots level, sources added.
Programme will offer an opportunity to work in the corporate sector at various levels and fosters better understanding through case studies. Sources informed that the MBA in Corporate Governance programme will offer 30 seats. Admission to the programme will be made on the basis of an entrance test, group discussion and personal interview, sources added.

Last date for submission of application formsThe last date for submission of application forms for MBA in Corporate Governance (Full-Time) has been extended from November 30 to December 15.
The programme, developed by IGNOU’s Centre for Corporate Education, Training & Consultancy (CCETC), offers learners an opportunity to work for corporate sector at various levels and fosters practical understanding through case study approach.
The total number of seats for MBA in Corporate Governance is 30. Graduates in any discipline with minimum 50 percent marks from a recognised University are eligible to apply. The fees for the two-year (four semesters) programme is Rs 50,000 per semester.
Application forms are available at all IGNOU Regional Centres and University Headquarters.
