New Delhi – Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has partnered with Zydus Hospitals to establish a hospital to serve around 3 lakh people residing in and around Sitapur, Gujrat.
The company spent Rs 2.68 crore cumulatively on health projects like running dispensary and setting up of multispecialty hospitals through implementing agencies under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Suzuki Motor Corporation, the Gujarat plant of the company, plans to provide low-cost healthcare to the people through a 50- bedded hospital by April 2021, which will be expanded to 100 beds later.
The company will soon start work to set up a multi-specialty hospital and also an English medium school in Gujarat, for the public at large.
The company also takes care of its employee’s health and provides periodic medical checkups, regular health talks from the experts in the field of medicine.
To create the awareness on health and promote well-being of the employees, the company not only encourages participation in various sporting events held in the country but also organises marathons exclusively for its employees.
