MUMBAI: To mark the World Environment Day Mahindra Group is making inroads on its program” Making Sustainability Personal”.

This will be based on the 3E learning approach of Educate, Entertain and Experience. There will be the annual Quiz Contest based on Sustainability to educate employees on various aspects of Sustainability and what each one can do to reduce his/her carbon footprint. Participants will be nominated by Sustainability teams from various group companies.

“To provide retail therapy to employees, a Green Bazaar will be hosted in the office complex, selling LED lights, cloth bags and aerators – again with a specific use to reduce energy and reuse resources.”, Mahindra Group said today.

At the plant level there will be engagement programs like Tree plantation, Slogan competition, No print Day, Free PUC checkup, Solar products awareness, reduction on electricity bill competition, make your own solar lamp etc. involving employees in making sustainability personal.

There will also be the launch of the Sustainability App for employees for those of us who need a little extra help remembering to go green. The app makes simple suggestions on how to live a bit more sustainably. It lets you see what habits fit your lifestyle and which ones you can easily incorporate into your everyday.
