M&M, responding to an FIR lodged against the company, has clarified its stance on the alleged malfunctioning of airbags in its Scorpio S9 variant. The company emphasized that the case is over 18 months old and asserted that it had conducted meticulous investigations to establish the functionality and presence of airbags in the disputed vehicle.

Upon concluding a detailed technical investigation in October 2022, M&M has stated unequivocally that there was no malfunction of the airbags and that the model in question was indeed equipped with them. The accident was identified as a rollover case, a situation where frontal airbags would not deploy.
