Magic Bus India Foundation and Shell India Empower Youth for a Future-Ready Workforce

NEW DELHI (India CSR): Magic Bus India Foundation, one of India’s leading NGOs in education and skilling, and Shell India continue their collaborative efforts to bridge the skills and employability gap in youth from underserved communities. Committed to equipping youth with transferable life and employability skills, this partnership, as part of Shell’s ‘Skill4Future’ initiative, reflects their shared vision to enable young individuals to thrive in a dynamic job market. Aligned with India’s evolving job landscape, this programme prepares them for opportunities in key sectors such as retail, logistics, IT, ITeS, banking financial services & insurance Quick Service Restaurants and hospitality.

Intensive Two-Month Programme

Through this partnership, Magic Bus and Shell India offer an intensive two-month skilling programme designed to equip youth with industry-relevant competencies essential for long-term career success. It covers skills such as communication, self-awareness, adaptability, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, collaboration, decision-making, communicative English, basic digital skills, financial literacy, career management, workplace ethics, and future skills with a special emphasis on solar energy.

Graduation of First Batch

As a testament to this impactful collaboration, Magic Bus and Shell India recently celebrated a significant milestone—the graduation of the first batch of 28 youth from the skilling programme in Taloja. The event was graced by Honourable Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), Mr. Prashant Thakur, who felicitated the graduates alongside representatives from Magic Bus India Foundation and Shell India.

Vision for a Skilled Workforce

Jayant Rastogi, Global CEO, Magic Bus India Foundation, said, “Our collaboration with Shell India equips youth from underserved communities with transferable life and employability skills, to enhance their job readiness. By providing them with the right skills and opportunities, we are building a workforce that drives India’s economic growth. This partnership fuels the vision of a Viksit Bharat—where skilled and empowered youth become the driving force of nation-building and sustainable progress.”

Long-Term Career Support

The participants benefit from job-readiness training that includes mentorship, sector-specific orientation, interview preparation, and placement in customer-centric roles. The programme also provides post-placement support, ensuring long-term employment retention and career growth. By equipping youth with the skills and confidence to make informed career and life choices, this initiative empowers them to support their families, break the cycle of poverty, and serve as role models within their communities.
