While the company spent Rs 88.41 crore on CSR initiatives, it fell slightly short of the mandated 2% spending threshold, which stood at Rs 92.81 crore based on average net profits. The shortfall, however, was not due to negligence. Instead, the company clarified that the unspent funds are allocated toward ongoing projects and have been duly transferred to a dedicated unspent CSR account as per Section 135(6) of the Companies Act, 2013.

Two Percent Rule Compliance
As mandated under Section 135(5) of the Companies Act, LTIMindtree was required to spend Rs 92.81 crore in CSR during FY 2024–25. The company incurred actual CSR expenditure of Rs 88.41 crore. The difference—Rs 4.40 crore—has been set aside for ongoing projects and transferred on April 17, 2025, in compliance with statutory requirements.
No Excess or Shortfall
The company clarified that no excess spending occurred that could be set off in subsequent years. Similarly, there was no surplus from previous years, reinforcing that the unspent amount is exclusively for planned activities already underway.
