L&T provides education to over 2 lakhs beneficiaries under CSR

New Delhi: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is providing education to 242,984 beneficiaries under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, says it’s annual report 2018-19.

As per the report, the company is focussing on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education provides, innovative teaching and learning techniques in science and english, building and equipping computer labs, providing teaching aids and running capacity building programmes for teachers.

L&T has been tremendously working to provide pre-primary and primary education, along with infrastructural development in schools.

The company is also running urban and rural community learning centres to provide after-school academic support to children from disadvantaged communities and helping them to cope with their curriculum. This further prevents them from dropping out.

L&T also runs an employee volunteering programme through which L&Teers’ help augment the running of urban community learning centres. They also conduct workshops on life skills and awareness of social issues.

Besides, summer camps, sports activities and extracurricular activities are also conducted to help children expand their horizons.
