MUMBAI: Lakme Salon launched the 5th edition of its Happy New You campaign with the aim of helping customers discover their happiest selves! In addition to the core offerings of Happy Skin and Happy Hair, the campaign invites customers to achieve a Happy Body, a Happy Mind and also gives them a chance to give back to society by spreading Happy Smiles.

As part of this campaign, Lakme Salon has tied up with Project Nanhi Kali to spread Happy Smiles through the gift of education – the brand will sponsor the primary education of 100 girls in the new year and is also inviting all its customers to contribute to this cause.

Pushkaraj Shenai, CEO, Lakme Lever, “We work with a vision to “BEAUTIFY THE FUTURE” and believe in the power of education to transform lives. With this association, we will support the education of the girl child through Project Nanhi Kali. We are also extending this to customers across our network to contribute to the cause – they can either spin the Wheel of Happiness at our salon or website – or tag their friends on our social media pages. We are extremely happy that Ananya has joined hands with us to empower underprivileged girls through this initiative. “

Actor Ananya Panday who has associated with Lakme Salon for this initiative took to her social media handles to talk about the campaign and also nominated her family and friends to come forward and contribute to the cause. The initiative was kicked off in an exclusive online event where she interacted with 2 girls from Project Nanhi Kali. In the course of the conversation, the girls spoke about their studies, how much they like school and quizzed her on subjects that they are currently learning.

Ananya Panday said, “Education is the key to transforming the lives of the girls. I was so happy to have met with 2 of the girls who will benefit from this initiative. The work being done for their education is truly commendable. I urge all my friends and fans to come forward and support this cause.”

The Lakme Salon ‘Happy New You’ campaign invites customers to spin the Wheel of Happiness and win free services or avail exclusive discounts at their nearest salon. In addition to spreading smiles for the girls from Project Nanhi Kali, customers can also get customized 30-day Happy Hair & Happy Skin routines created by the Lakme Salon experts; stand a chance to be the face of the next Lakmé Salon campaign with #HappyMind or win a health and nutrition package from wellness partner Fitsu Fitness to achieve Happy Body. Extending their award-winning green bill initiative, Lakmé Salon will plant a tree on behalf of the customers as part of the Happy Earth initiative.
