On December 18, 2020, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa met and felicitated a 14-year-old boy – Yathaarth Murthy (India CSR Goodwill Ambassador for Peace and Positive Change), who has earned laurels by singing the national anthems of over 260 countries and getting his name recorded in the Limca Book of Records not once but twice.
The normally busy Yediyurappa, who is known as a workaholic immersing himself in administration or political developments, took time off from his busy schedule and felicitated the young Bengaluru achiever.
Yatharth Murthy is able to play anthems of many countries on keyboard too.
“This boy has earned performed rare feats by singing the national anthems of almost all the countries of the world and spread the message of peace, brotherhood and harmony,’’ lauded the Chief Minister.
Yathaarth Murthy shared his thoughts with Chief Minister on various contemporary issues of the society.
Yathaarth has requested the Chief Minister’s support in all his future endeavours. He is hoping to get scholarships for his studies and encouragement to enter the Guinness Book of Records. Yathaarth aims at spreading peace and harmony through the anthems of the world for which Mr Yediyurappa has promised do so.

Yatharth Murthy, a student of Vidyashilp Academy of Bengaluru, first entered the Limca Book of Records in the year 2017 for being able to sing the maximum number of national anthems. At that time, he knew over 112 national anthems, including 80 in non-English languages and got the honour again. The two-time winner of Limca Book of Records is keen on getting his name in the Guinness Book of Records.
He has conducted 2 climate strikes in Bangalore and as a part of WFUNA, he and 4 of his classmates have revived a 4.5 acre lake by raising 8.27 Lakhs through Crowd funding, in a span of 27 days, under the mentorship of Anand Malligavad – The Lake man of Bangalore and presented it at the United Nations.
A recipient of many awards and one such prestigious award he has received is the Top 100 Global Child Prodigy Award in January 2020 and has also been recognized as one of the Top 10 Child Prodigies of India, who has made the Nation proud globally.
