Hyderabad: Kalamandir, a leading retail fashion brand in South India, celebrates 11th anniversary at Cybercity convention centre, Madhapur. As a part of their CSR initiative, the foundation gave donations to NGO’s and scholarships to students. They also helped and supported the handloom weavers in this grand function.
For the first time, the foundation has introduced ‘Kalamandir Foundation Seva Ratna Puraskar.’ As a part of it, the foundation has awarded ten unsung heroes with the cash prize of Rs 50,000. The merit scholarships worth Rs 60 lakhs was also distributed among children of Kalamandir group staff.
The occasion was graced by Mahmood Ali, Home Minister, Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Harichandana Dasari, IAS, Kavya Kishan Reddy, Socialite, Raghavendra Rao, Film Director, Priyadarshi, Actor, BVS Ravi, Writer & Film Director, C. Kalyan, Film Producer and other socialites.
“A thought of paying back to the society has led to the initiation of this noble cause called ‘Kalamandir Foundation.’ Serving others and helping the needy gave us eternal delight. It was the most significant achievement we ever achieved”, said Kalamandir Director.
The Foundation has undertaken numerous initiatives in the areas of health, education, and environment. Providing scholarships, organizing blood donation camps, protesting against drugs, promoting green revolution charity are few among those initiatives carried over by the foundation.
