ANGUL: Jindal Steel and Power Ltd., Angul celebrated the 78th Utkal Divas and 22nd Angul District Foundation Day at Jindal Vidyapitha situated at Badamahitala R&R colony of JSPL. Attending this function as Chief-Guest, Mr. Prashant Kumar Hota, Vice-President (CSR & Corp. Comm) paid floral tributes to the great leaders of Odisha who contributed and sacrificed for formation of separate Odisha State.
Greeting each and all on this occasion Mr. Prashant Kumar Hota said “On this day we people got new state because of strong will power and sacrifices made by great leaders. We should be grateful to these great souls of people like Utkala Gourav Madhusudan Das, Utkala Mani Gopabandhu Das, Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati, Pandita Nilakantha Das, Fakir Mohan Senapati, and many others.
All of us should work hard to make Odisha one of the most prosperous and developed states in the Country. So that, a Strong Odisha can make a stronger India”. This date is also important for Angul District as on this date Angul became a separate district. Angul is not only geographically central in Odisha, it will also be central in triggering economic and industrial development of entire state, added Mr. Hota.
On this occasion students of the Jindal Vidyapith performed cultural programme and spoke on the importance of celebrating Utkal Divas.
In a message Mr. Dinesh Kumar Saraogi, Angul Location Head & Executive Director, said, “On this auspicious Odisha Day and Angul District Foundation Day, I convey my best wishes to people of Angul and Odisha.
We in JSPL are committed for bringing holistic prosperity for the People of Angul in particular and Odisha in general”.
The program concluded with taking vow to work for the holistic development of Odisha followed by the thanks giving speech by Ms. Diptirekha Das (Headmaster I/C) of the Jindal Vidyapith. Members of the School Management Committee and local villagers were also present on this occasion.
