BHUBANESWAR: Haryana’s Hisar based Jindal Institute of Medical Sciences has proposed to set up a hospital at Jajpur in Odisha where Jindal Stainless Limited has production facilities.
The Hospital will have 100 beds to start with and gradually will add trauma centre and super speciality facilities. This has been informed by State Industry Minister Debi Prasad Mishra.
Executive Director and COO of Jindal Institute of Medical Sciences Dr. Chander Bhasin today met the Industry Minister and informed has requested for land to set up the hospital.
“The government will only provide the required land to them and they would set up a hospital there. They will visit a few places before zeroing in a land for the particular cause. A school will also be set up with it,” said the Minister.
There are around 5000 employees of Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) working in the area. The villagers along with the employees of JSL would avail the facilities of the hospital. The management would provide treatment at subsidized and affordable rates.
The State Government has shown them four locations, which will be finalised after the field visit.
