One of the largest facilities, spread across 30 acres of land, provides free life-long shelter in 1400 rooms to 5000 homeless elders, sick, handicapped, and bedridden citizens who require constant care, consisting of seven towers with 11 floors each.

RAJKOT (India CSR): Manav Seva Charitable Trust in Rampar is launching the Sadbhavana Vrudha Ashram, a state-of-the-art old age home located at Rampar along the Rajkot-Jamnagar highway, with an investment of Rs. 300 crores. This facility, one of the largest in India, will span 30 acres and feature 7 towers, each with 11 floors, accommodating a total of 1,400 rooms. It aims to provide free, lifelong shelter to 5,000 elderly individuals who are Childless, sick, handicapped, or bedridden and require continuous care.

The ashram will be inclusive, welcoming individuals from all backgrounds without regard to religion, caste, or creed. The new facility will include various amenities such as a temple, a large kitchen named Annapurna House, a library, an exercise room equipped with fitness equipment, a yoga room, a dispensary, a community hall, and landscaped gardens. The existing Sadbhavana Old Age Home in Rajkot has been operational for ten years and currently cares for 650 childless individuals, including 200 who are completely bedridden.

To support this initiative, an 8-day global Ramkatha event led by the esteemed Param Pujya Shri Morari Bapu is scheduled from November 23 to December 1 at Rajkot. This event aims to raise awareness about tree plantation and will attract social leaders, industrialists, businessmen, political figures, donors, and activists from around the globe.

Shri Swami Parmananda Saraswati, International Convener of Hindu Dharmacharya Mahasabha and Patron of Sadbhavana Old Age Home, emphasized the growing need for community support for elderly care: “In today’s world, senior citizens often receive less attention from younger generations. It is crucial for more individuals to engage in such noble efforts to assist childless elders and orphans.”

Mital Khetani of Manav Seva Charitable Trust added that they welcome individuals who are beyond 60 years and those who are socially or physically challenged. Sadbhavna Vruddhashram is a home which will offer better care for the elderly childless with all facilities free of cost. He noted that many lonely elders find joy and peace within a supportive old age home environment. At this event, special guests included Mrs. Deena Mehta, the former President of the Bombay Stock Exchange, the first woman Director on the Board of BSE, along with Dr. Girish Shah, a member of the Animal Welfare Board of India, Government of India.
