NEW DELHI (India CSR): The 16th India CSR Summit & Awards will be held on Friday at the PHD Chamber’s Auditorium here, bringing together business leaders, CSR heads, social sector experts and development practitioners to deliberate on the theme “CSR for Future-ready Economy.” (Agenda)
Organised by India CSR, the summit will run from 2 pm to 7 pm, preceded by a registration and networking session.
India CSR Founder Rusen Kumar will deliver the welcome address, followed by keynote speeches from prominent industry and sector leaders including Dr Leena Deshpande, Head of CSR at Bharat Forge Ltd; Sushil Bhalchandra Mungekar, Founder & CEO of ENpower; Adv. Sadiya Rohma Khan, practising advocate at the Delhi High Court; Sita Ram Gupta, social sector veteran; and Dr Sanjay Gandhi, MD of Aspire Knowledge & Skills India Pvt Ltd.
A panel discussion on “Redesigning CSR for Economic Dignity and Opportunity”, supported by Afita Constructions Pvt Ltd, will examine strategies to address poverty in line with SDG 1 (No Poverty). Speakers will include Dr Binita Verdia (Zydus Life), Firoz Sadikot (Afita Constructions), Ritesh Kumar Sinha (Krishna Maruti Ltd) and Dr Neelam Gupta (AROH Foundation). The session will be moderated by Arun Arora, Director, Chetak Foundation.
The summit will also feature a leadership talk on emerging CSR developments with speakers from EKI Energy Services Ltd, Vidyadhan (A Shibulal Family Philanthropic Initiative), VisionSpring Foundation and Bandhan Konnagar.
A key highlight will be a fireside chat with Dr Bhaskar Chatterjee, regarded as the Father of Indian CSR, who also heads the National Sustainability Reporting and Disclosure Standards Committee at the Bureau of Indian Standards. He will be in conversation with Prof Rohan Sarma, CSR and sustainability expert, and Rusen Kumar, Editor of India CSR. The session will explore the “Chatterjee Trikon” and a decade of the Bharatiya CSR model.
The event will conclude with the India CSR Awards, recognising excellence in corporate social responsibility among companies, NGOs and leaders.
