It’s a collective efforts that will take things back to normal in the face of the pandemic. With the same philosophy at the helm of all the efforts to make things possible, IIM Lucknow’s Manfest-Varchasva is about to take off on the 27th of February, 2021.
Some of the major sponsors for this year are UPSDM, UPITEL, SBI, Union Bank and Get Mega. With a legacy of over 35 years, the fest has evolved from being a college fest that offers participants a chance to showcase their talents to a brand and event which the entire B-School community looks forward to.
The fest has been remodelled this year owing to the COVID-19 safety precautions. All the events are being held online but the effort of students and college administration have made it possible to recreate the magic of events as the previous years. The fest is set to start with the Inaugural ceremony graced by Mr. N.R. Narayana Murthy in presence of the director of IIM Lucknow, Prof. Archana Shukla. Murthy will be one of the many leaders who will be a part of the fest for the Leaders Express event at MV.
Some of the most prominent names involve Mr. K.V. Subramanian, Saugata Gupta, Mr. Vineet Nayar, Tania Sachdev and Junaid Kamal Ahmad. The fest will also hold a Social Conclave and a Policy conclave to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the thought process of leaders while solving problems of national scale.
Management events at MV are an avenue for students to show their excellent business and management skills. City Run, the flagship CSR event of MV will be conducted within the campus as ‘Campus Run’ event. All the COVID-19 safety protocols will be taken care of as only a limited number of participants will be allowed to take part while maintaining adequate distance between two individuals.
The fest has always been a celebration of different talents of students and offers various cultural events. Students can participate in several music, dance, theatre, fashion show and literary competitions to prove their prowess. All of this has been made possible through the online model. Multiple events will run parallelly as participants fight tooth and nail to take the first position.
Judges will watch the live performances and will interact with the students to guide them on how to excel in the specific art forms. Some of the biggest celebrities who will be the judge at the fest are Tanuj Virwani, Parul Yadav & Anasua Chowdhury. As the sun sets in the far west, the Pro-Shows will take the centre stage with the biggest artists performing live online! Krishnakumar Kunnath better known as K.K., Bollywood Playback singer and Vipul Goyal, stand-up comedian will be the biggest attraction as they are set to sweep everyone off their feet!
The two-day fest will conclude in style on 28th February and the curtains will close as the biggest college fest to be held during these challenging times of COVID-19 takes rest to return again next year. Manfest-Varchasva 2020-21 will truly be a fest to remember.
