New Delhi (India CSR): Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) has partnered with NDTV to launch ‘Samarth’, a comprehensive initiative aimed at supporting and empowering people with disabilities in India. This initiative aligns with Hyundai’s global vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’, which seeks to build a more inclusive and progressive world through mobility.
Key Highlights of the Initiative
- Raising Awareness and Building a Movement: The campaign aims to create a mass movement for people with disabilities by raising awareness and changing societal perceptions.
- Accessibility and Empowerment: Hyundai will make its websites, dealerships, and service centers more accessible and introduce features like Swivel Seats to enhance the differently-abled friendliness of their cars.
- Supporting Para-athletes: Hyundai has partnered with GoSports Foundation and Samarthanam Trust to offer all-rounded support to para-athletes and people with disabilities.
- Partnerships for Impact: Wheeling Happiness Foundation will facilitate support for six para-athletes, including Sheetal Devi (Para-Archer), Prachi Yadav (Para-Canoer), and Abhishek Chamoli (Para-athlete).
- Creating a Level Playing Field: ‘Samarth’ seeks to turn the world into a more inclusive space for all through technology, partnerships, product innovations, and storytelling.
