RAIPUR (India CSR Correspondent): In a startling turn of events in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh, Yuvraj Marmat, an IAS officer from the 2022 batch presently serving as Assistant Collector, has found himself embroiled in a honey trap controversy. The case was registered at the Muhana police station in Jaipur, and authorities are currently probing the matter.
The Allegations
According to Marmat’s complaint, a divorced woman has been exerting undue pressure on him to tie the knot. The woman has not only demanded a hefty sum of Rs 1.5 crore but also resorted to blackmail. She has threatened to falsely implicate the IAS officer in a fabricated case and even warned of taking her own life.
Personal History
Marmat, hailing from the Mansarovar estuary in Rajasthan’s Jaipur, is currently stationed in Raigarh. He informed the police that his interaction with the said woman was limited to a brief period during his academic days in Delhi. Post their encounter, she allegedly began to incessantly pester him for marriage. The officer has been enduring mental distress owing to the relentless threats.
Relentless Harassment
Detailing the extent of harassment, Marmat mentioned how he would receive incessant phone calls from the woman. Ignoring her calls, he noted, would lead to threats of self-harm from her end. The perturbed officer has since lodged a formal complaint against the woman, prompting a police investigation.
Additional Information
It’s crucial to note that Yuvraj Marmat is a trainee IAS officer of the 2022 batch, currently holding the Assistant Collector position in Raigarh district. Notably, he recently had a court marriage with Telangana IPS officer B Monica. Post his wedding, the accused woman has reportedly intensified her harassment, causing significant distress to Marmat.
