UDAIPUR (India CSR): Hindustan Zinc Limited, India’s largest and the world’s second-largest integrated zinc producer, has set a global benchmark in corporate transparency and stakeholder communication by securing 1st rank globally in the Materials Category at the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) Vision Awards 2023-24. Marking another milestone, Hindustan Zinc’s Sustainability Report 2023-24 secured the 1st position globally in the Materials category, earning a Platinum Award in its debut year at the LACP Vision Awards.

The company’s Integrated Annual Report FY 2023-24 clinched the Platinum Award, for the second time in a row making it among the Top 5 Integrated Reports globally. Solidifying its reputation, Hindustan Zinc’s report was also recognized as the “Most Creative Report Worldwide”, highlighting its innovative storytelling, compelling design, and engaging content among nearly 1,000 global participants.This achievement underscores the company’s unwavering commitment to exemplary standards in financial reporting and sustainability disclosures.

The League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) Vision Awards is among the most prestigious global platforms that recognize excellence in financial reporting, corporate communication, and stakeholder engagement. Established to promote best practices in corporate disclosures, the awards assess reports based on first impression, narrative clarity, creativity, message relevance, accessibility of information, and overall design. Receiving recognition at this level reflects a company’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and strategic vision.

  • Fifth Integrated Annual Report of Hindustan Zinc Limited developed in line with the guiding principles of the Integrated Reporting framework of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC), now part of the IFRS Foundation
  • Value created for stakeholders in 2023-24 at INR 33, 221 crores
  • Value delivered in terms of dividendsto shareholders in 2023-24 stood at INR 5,493 crores
  • Contribution to exchequerof INR 13,195 crores for FY24
  • INR 269 crores invested in various social impact initiatives for FY24 transforming the lives of over 1.9 million people in nearly 3,700 villages
  • 64% local procurement in the state of Rajasthan and Uttarakhand in FY24
  • 2.51 MGJrenewable energy generated in FY24
  • Inaugurated phase 1 of 4,000 KLD zero liquid discharge (ZLD) plant at Zawar Mines
  • Became the first Indian metal and mining company with validated Science Based Targets, aiming for net zero by 2050.
  • Launched first Task Force on Nature Related financial disclosure (TNFD) report in India
  • Received two Indian patentsfor pioneering new methodologies.
