Hindustan Zinc will back ultra-distance runner Sufiya Sufi in her mission to break world records and inspire communities towards healthier, active lifestyles.
UDAIPUR (India CSR): Hindustan Zinc Limited, India’s largest zinc producer, has announced its partnership with ultra-distance runner Sufiya Sufi, appointing her as its brand ambassador for the next two years. Sufiya, an internationally recognized athlete, will represent the company’s vision of promoting sports, fitness, and active living in communities across India.
Supporting Global Ambitions
As part of this collaboration, Hindustan Zinc will support Sufiya’s upcoming world record attempt to run across the globe in just 740 days. Sufiya is already a Guinness World Record holder for her incredible achievement of being the fastest female runner to traverse from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Her journey from working as a baggage handler at Delhi Airport to becoming a globally renowned ultra-runner is a testament to her resilience and determination.

In 2025, Sufiya will represent India at the prestigious World 24-Hour Running Championship. She is also gearing up for major ultra-marathons such as the Mt. Fuji 100-Miler Ultra-Trail and the Comrades Ultra Marathon. These challenges, including her ambitious goal to run 40,000 kilometers across the globe, serve as an inspiration for aspiring athletes and fitness enthusiasts.
