UDAIPUR (India CSR): Hindustan Zinc Limited’s Debari Zinc Smelter is driving visible transformation in nearby villages through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The company’s sustained efforts in rural development are improving both the condition and direction of village life, said Mavli MLA Pushkar Lal Dangi.
He was addressing villagers as the Chief Guest during the foundation stone laying ceremony for a CC (cement concrete) road construction project in Govla Putiya village under the Zinc Smelter Gram Panchayat on Sunday.
Strengthening Rural Infrastructure
In his address, MLA Pushkar Dangi highlighted that Hindustan Zinc’s support in essential sectors such as roads, drinking water, education, and healthcare is significantly enhancing the quality of life for rural communities.
He emphasized that meaningful and sustainable development becomes possible when industry and society work together. He also urged villagers to maintain positive and cooperative relations with Hindustan Zinc to ensure the continuity of development initiatives in the future.
CSR and Welfare Work Setting an Example
Acting Chairman Mangilal Ahir stated that the CSR and welfare initiatives undertaken by Hindustan Zinc Limited are inspiring for society. He noted that the company’s contributions in education, drinking water facilities, and infrastructure development are laying a strong foundation for long-term progress in the region.
General Secretary Prakash Shrimali said that the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) has always stood for public interest and workers’ welfare. He added that with Hindustan Zinc’s support, the region has witnessed progress in education, women’s empowerment, and social upliftment.

CC Road Project Launched Under CSR
As part of its ongoing rural development initiatives under CSR, Hindustan Zinc’s Debari Smelter formally commenced the CC road construction project in Govla Putiya village with traditional rituals.
Former Sarpanch Babu Singh Devda, Mahendra Singh Ranawat, Chunnilal Dangi, Narayan Lal Gayari, Kailash Dangi, Hiralal Meghwal, Meghraj, CSR department representative Arpana Vyas, other employees, and hundreds of villagers were present on the occasion.
Villagers expressed their gratitude to Hindustan Zinc and public representatives for initiating the road construction work, which is expected to significantly improve connectivity and daily life in the area.
Hindustan Zinc’s continued CSR efforts are being seen as a strong model of partnership between industry and community, fostering inclusive and sustainable rural development.
