HYDERABAD: Sunil Bharti Mittal, Founder & Chairman, Bharti Enterprises was honoured by the GSMA, worldwide union of mobile operators, for contributions to the global mobile industry and for successfully leading the GSMA Board as Chairman for two years (2017-18).
The GSMA recognised the efforts of Mittal at the GSMA Board Lunch followed by a Reception and Welcome Dinner on Feb 24, which was attended by several other industry leaders.
GSMA represents nearly 750 of the mobile operators, as well as more than 350 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem.
“In 2017, Sunil Bharti Mittal became the first Indian to chair the prestigious global telecom industry Board. In the past, Sunil Bharti Mittal also served as a member of the GSMA Board from 2005 through 2008.”, Airtel informed today.
