India’s contribution to the world’s solar capacity has been tremendous, leading to a rise in solar panel installations across the country.

The world’s solar power capacity is expected to triple in the next 5 years, with solar panel installations skyrocketing to more than 70,000 every hour [1]. While this figure is mainly the result of growing awareness around the harmful impact of conventional power sources, another motivating factor is energy independence. Moreover, even India’s contribution to the world’s solar capacity has been tremendous, leading to a rise in solar panel installations across the country.

But the highest number of solar panel installations have been in residential areas, owing to the many benefits that homeowners can take advantage of, including lower electricity bills and power backup. However, seeking professional installation services is essential to reap the benefits of a solar power system as incorrect placement can affect the panels’ harnessing ability.

So, if you’re planning to go solar, here are some reasons why you should opt for solar panel installation by professionals:

1. Added Safety

When it comes to solar panel installation, safety is of the utmost importance. But if you’re not well-versed with electrical fittings and cables, you can end up damaging the equipment. Additionally, exposed wires can cause short circuits in some cases, putting your life at risk. Therefore, it is best to seek professional services for solar panel installation as an expert will be able to wire the solar power system safely.

2. Saves Time

If you were to install a solar power system from scratch, you would have to do everything from setting up the mounting structure to connecting all the components. While setting up the solar system isn’t necessarily difficult, it will take a lot of time for someone who isn’t experienced. So, by hiring professionals for solar system installation, you will not only ensure all safety measures are in place but also save time.

3. Correct Installation

Since solar panels are the main component of rooftop solar power systems, even minor factors such as their direction, tilt, and shading affect the PV panels’ efficiency. So, while you may be able to install the panels successfully, getting the direction wrong can hamper solar power production. Similarly, if the solar photovoltaics (PV) panels don’t receive direct sunlight, they won’t produce as much energy. However, professional installers will ensure that the panels are correctly installed.

4. Easy Access to Permits, Approvals, and Subsidies

Solar panel installation is much more than just fixing the mounting structure and setting up the cables and wires. Rather, there are other aspects like government approvals and permits that you need to consider. Additionally, you can even claim subsidies offered by your state government to save a few extra bucks. So, hiring an expert will make the process of applying for such permits and schemes much easier and faster.

5. Warranty Benefits

Although most solar power solution companies provide a standard 25-year performance warranty on solar panels, you might not be able to claim it if the job isn’t done by experienced or licensed professionals. While it differs from one brand/company to another, it is best to opt for professional solar panel installation to avoid last-minute hassles during warranty claims.

Your Way Forward

So, now that we have highlighted the many advantages of hiring professionals for solar panel installation, the next step is to look for solar solution providers. However, it is crucial to go for reputable and trusted companies such as Luminous. Luminous not only takes care of the installation process but also ensures you get the best after-sales services, including plant health check-ups and financing options. So, what are you waiting for? Choose Luminous and switch to solar today!
