VIZAG: Gangavaram Port today contributed Rs. 15.40 lakhs for undertaking developmental works in Gangavaram Village. Gangavaram Port management has contributed the amount under their Corporate Social Responsibility program with an objective to bring about growth and support the welfare of the local people. The development works will be undertaken in Gajuwaka under the supervision of Palla Srinivas Rao MLA Gajuwaka Constituency and the execution will be undertaken through District Administration.
Gangavaram Port has provided the financial assistance for the maintenance and support of Sulabh Complexes in the area, undertaking repairs & painting works for existing Hospital and support the medical infrastructure in the region, support the building of compound wall and carry out repairs & platform at the Burial Ground.
The shortage of sanitation and medical facilities is a major concern with key areas facing major health issues in the areas. Gangavaram Port plans to support the construction of hospital and build eco toilets and contribute towards the development of other facilities like burial ground etc. The activities are undertaken with an aim to help local people get better facilities and lead a better life.
According to Gangavaram Port Management, “We are committed for the growth of the region and by providing basic infrastructure and enabling sustainable solutions for building health infrastructure and related facilities in the area we plan to create a congenial society. We are pleased to contribute towards the causes and will continue to support similar initiatives for supporting a cleaner and healthier environment and provide basic facilities to the local people”.
The cheque for Rs. 15,40,000 was handed over to Palla Srinivas Rao, MLA, Gajuwaka Constituency by Gangavaram Port representatives including Shri K Raja Ratnam Naidu, Sr Vice President (R&R), Shri L P S Ramu Naidu, VP (Liasoning) . Local villagers from Gangavaram Village were also present at the occasion.
