Leading the Way in Sustainability and Responsibility

MUMBAI (Indai CSR): In a significant move on March 4th, 2024, Pernod Ricard India, a titan in the wine and spirits industry, announced the expansion of Gagandeep Sethi’s role within the company. Already serving as the Senior Vice President of Integrated Operations, Sethi will now also spearhead the company’s Sustainability & Responsibility (S&R) initiatives. This appointment underscores Pernod Ricard India’s unwavering commitment to fostering social responsibility and sustainable development, aiming to make a tangible impact on both the community and the environment.

A Vision for Sustainable Development

Under the leadership of Gagandeep Sethi, Pernod Ricard India is poised to elevate its S&R initiatives to new heights. Sethi’s new role involves leading the charge in the company’s pursuit of sustainability, working in close collaboration with stakeholders such as employees, partners, and customers. The goal is to ensure that the company’s S&R efforts continue to contribute positively to societal and environmental wellbeing.

Jean Touboul, CEO of Pernod Ricard India, expressed his enthusiasm for Sethi’s new role, stating, “At Pernod Ricard, we are passionately dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the planet and the communities we operate in. Gagandeep has played a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and business transformation across various functions, making him the ideal leader to spearhead our S&R initiatives and contribute to our long-term sustainability goals.”

“We are confident that under his guidance, Pernod Ricard India will not only reinforce its commitment towards the sustainable development goals but also make a lasting, positive difference in the lives of people we touch along the way.”, he added.

A Strategy for Positive Impact

Sethi’s strategy for Pernod Ricard India’s S&R initiatives will focus on designing, developing, and implementing high-impact projects, with special attention to scalable water positivity and community-centered social impact programs. Bringing over two decades of corporate sector experience to the table, Sethi has held various leadership roles in operations, strategy, and business development, equipping him with the expertise required to drive significant change.

The Team Behind the Vision

The leadership team at Pernod Ricard India, led by Jean Touboul, is composed of industry veterans who bring a wealth of experience and insight to the company’s strategic direction. This team includes Kartik Mohindra, Chief Marketing Officer; Nitu Bhushan, Chief Human Resources Officer; Richa Singh, Chief Financial Officer; Simon De Beauregard, Chief Transformation Officer; Bijoya Roy, General Counsel; Prasanna Mohile, National Head – Corporate Affairs; Metabelle Lobo, Vice President, Corporate Communications; and Piyush Srivastava, Chief Commercial Officer, all working alongside Gagandeep Sethi.

Looking Forward

As Pernod Ricard India strides forward under the guidance of Gagandeep Sethi, the company is set to make significant strides in its sustainability and responsibility efforts. Jean Touboul’s confidence in Sethi’s leadership reflects a broader vision for the company: to not only meet its sustainability goals but to also forge a path that others in the industry can follow. In the words of Touboul, “We are confident that under his guidance, Pernod Ricard India will not only reinforce its commitment towards the sustainable development goals but also make a lasting, positive difference in the lives of people we touch along the way.”
