Fulfilling a Social Mandate

Endurance Technologies Limited operates with a core philosophy rooted in customer centricity, consistent delivery, and a continuous drive to push boundaries, extending this ethos to social responsibility. The company’s CSR activities are diligently undertaken in compliance with Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013, and its own comprehensive CSR Policy. For the financial year 2024-25, the company’s CSR obligation was calculated at Rs 12.5 crore, based on the average net profit of the preceding three financial years. Demonstrating its proactive stance, ETL not only met but exceeded this obligation by spending an additional Rs 67.4 lakh.

The implementation of these initiatives is primarily channeled through Sevak Trust, an organization with which Endurance Technologies has been associated for over a decade. The company’s CSR framework is governed by a robust three-tier structure, involving the CSR department, the CSR Committee, and the Board of Directors. The CSR Committee, chaired by Anurang Jain, the Managing Director, includes other key directors like Mr. Soumendra Basu, Mrs. Varsha Jain, and Mr. Rajendra Abhange. This committee plays a crucial role in recommending and approving CSR projects and programmes, ensuring alignment with the company’s social commitments and ethical values.

Empowering Communities Through Holistic Development

A significant portion of the CSR spending was directed towards the Village Development Project (VDP), which received Rs 5.775 crore. This project adopts a multi-faceted approach, addressing crucial aspects of water and sanitation, agriculture and livelihood, health and nutrition, education, and broader community development.

In a particularly human-centered initiative, Endurance Technologies, in partnership with Kamal Nayan Bajaj Hospital, launched a Mobile Medical Clinic in April 2024. This clinic, equipped with essential diagnostic tools and staffed by a dedicated medical team, operates on a fortnightly schedule, serving 47 villages across four blocks in the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar District. In FY 2024-25 alone, this initiative reached and treated approximately 4,850 patients, significantly improving healthcare accessibility for underserved communities. Beyond mobile clinics, the company’s efforts also included renovating three schools with solar energy and hygiene facilities, training 900 adolescent girls in health and skills, empowering over 1,000 farmers through sustainable agriculture programs, and building 32 toilets to improve sanitation. The Vet Van program also treated 8,050 animals across 47 villages, highlighting a comprehensive care approach.

Investing in Skill and Infrastructure

Education and skill development remain paramount in ETL’s CSR vision. The company runs a Vocational Training Centre (VTC), which received Rs 2.292 crore (excluding asset creation cost) in the reported financial year. The ECoVE Vocational Training Centre in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar successfully trained over 200 youth, securing more than 74% employment for its beneficiaries. To strengthen this initiative, Rs 4.5 lakh was invested in constructing and furnishing the Vocational Training Centre as a capital asset.

Furthermore, the company supports early childhood education through a Balwadi at Waluj, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, providing pre-school and daycare to underprivileged children aged 2-6 years. Rs 24 lakh was spent on furniture and fixtures for the new Balwadi building, ensuring a conducive learning environment. Another notable cultural investment included Rs 3 crore for the construction of the Kagzipura Paper Museum and Paithani Art Training Centre, aiming to revive the traditional Paithani art.

Driving a Greener Tomorrow

Endurance Technologies is equally dedicated to environmental stewardship, embedding sustainability at the core of its operations. The company’s initiatives aim to reduce its environmental footprint through energy-efficient manufacturing, optimized resource use, and waste minimization. Key achievements include:

  • Achieving 45% carbon neutrality in FY 2024-25, with a target to exceed 50% by FY 2029-30, aligned with Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) guidelines.
  • Enhancing its renewable power share to 25.2% in FY 2024-25 through increased utilization of solar and wind energy sources. A green energy village project was initiated, providing 100% rooftop solar coverage to households in one village.
  • Reducing specific electrical, thermal energy, and water consumption, achieving 96% recycling rates for water and hazardous waste.
  • Earning platinum ratings in third-party zero waste to landfill assessments for six plants.
  • Developing dense forests across 22.5 acres in three villages, planting over 2,20,000 native saplings from 63 species to support biodiversity regeneration and contribute to measurable benefits like reduced temperatures and longer monsoon spells.

The company also focuses on water conservation efforts by installing RO plants for clean drinking water, implementing rainwater harvesting projects, de-silting ponds, deepening waterways, and providing pipelines to underserved villages. Training farmers in hydroponics and drip irrigation further underscores its commitment to sustainable agriculture.

Impact and Future Vision

Endurance Technologies’ comprehensive CSR report highlights its dedication to inclusive growth and equitable development. The company’s consistent efforts have been recognized through various accolades, including the CII Intellectual Property Award 2024, Platinum and Gold quality awards from Bajaj Auto, and the Mahindra Innovation Award in February 2025. The company was also ranked 32nd among Fortune India magazine’s Future-ready workplaces.

Looking ahead, Endurance Technologies remains committed to its strategic priorities, including expanding its presence in the premium bike segment, increasing its four-wheeler and aftermarket business share, and capitalizing on the growing electric vehicle (EV) opportunity. The company’s CSR initiatives are a testament to its belief that growth is not just about financial metrics, but about enriching communities and safeguarding the environment, truly expanding horizons for a wider, more dynamic future.

Just as a tree’s roots spread deep and wide to support its vast canopy and nurture the surrounding soil, Endurance Technologies’ CSR initiatives extend far beyond its core business, nourishing the communities and environment that enable its sustained growth and prosperity.
