In a career that has continuously moved beyond conventional professional boundaries, C.A. Dr. Shankar Ghanshamdas Andani has added another significant responsibility to his already remarkable journey. On 15 August 2026, Dr. Andani was appointed as Consulting Editor of the national Hindi weekly newspaper Working Journalists Times, an appointment made with the consent of the Managing Director Board of News Hunt Media & Publications and the Press Club of Working Journalists. The appointment, made in Delhi, recognizes his experience, perspective and contribution to journalism, professional education, social service and public-oriented initiatives.

The appointment is particularly noteworthy because Dr. Andani’s journey has never been restricted to a single professional identity. From Chartered Accountancy, taxation and financial consultancy to education, social service, literature, writing and institutional leadership, he has steadily built a profile that brings together professional expertise and a wider commitment to society. His latest role in the media space adds another dimension to that journey, placing his experience and perspective within an institution dedicated to journalism and the working journalist community.

Dr. Andani’s professional foundation was built in the field of finance and taxation. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2006, he continued to develop his expertise through professional practice, consulting and academic engagement. He has also worked as an Assistant Professor in postgraduate taxation before entering the Chartered Accountancy profession. Through SAAI & Company, his professional work has expanded across taxation, auditing, accounting and consultancy, while his long-standing association with government bodies and social institutions has given him extensive exposure to the financial and administrative challenges faced by organizations.

What makes his professional journey distinctive, however, is the extent to which he has connected financial expertise with social responsibility. For years, Dr. Andani has provided accounting, auditing and taxation support to charitable, religious and social institutions. His own organization, SAAI Indian Trust Association, describes his long-standing initiative of providing such services to spiritual institutions including temples, mosques, gurudwaras and churches. This approach reflects a larger philosophy that professional knowledge can become significantly more meaningful when it is used to strengthen institutions serving society.

Over the years, this combination of professional expertise and social contribution has brought Dr. Andani extensive recognition. Earlier recognitions include the Best CA of the Year 2022 from Oasis World Records, Bharatiya Seva Ratna Award, National Pride Award, Indian International Achievement Award, Youth Ikon of the Year, Indian CSR Award, International Glory Award, Indian Icon Award, Prabhat Gaurav Sanman and Hindustan Ratna Award, among numerous other honors and recognitions reported across different platforms.

His journey has also increasingly expanded into literature and intellectual work. In 2025, he was recognized with the International Pen of Conscience Award, an honor associated with his writing, moral perspective and commitment to social service. The recognition highlighted another side of a professional who had already spent years working in finance, taxation and community initiatives, showing how his engagement with society has increasingly extended into the written word as well.

The year 2026 has brought an especially extraordinary chapter to that literary journey. Dr. Andani was reported to have published 12,100 poems in a single day, creating a remarkable literary benchmark. The same period also saw the publication of 106 self-authored books in a single day, with the achievement receiving recognition from record organizations including the London Book of Records, OMG Book of Records and India Proud Book of Records. His literary output has included themes around motherhood, family, society, technology, finance and the vision of a developed India.

These literary achievements have added an unusual dimension to his identity. A Chartered Accountant, educator, social worker, author and public intellectual, Dr. Andani has increasingly used writing as another medium through which he can share ideas, knowledge and social perspectives. His work demonstrates an attempt to move beyond the traditional boundaries of a professional career and engage with questions of education, society, ethics, culture and national development.

His record of recognition is equally extensive. Publicly available profiles and reports have attributed to Dr. Andani more than 115 world records, over 3,180 national and international awards and around 150 honorary doctorates, alongside numerous other distinctions. Because such figures span multiple record and recognition organizations, the individual recognitions vary by source, but the breadth of his documented professional, literary and social recognition remains a defining feature of his public profile.

Beyond awards and records, Dr. Andani has also taken on leadership and advisory responsibilities across professional, social and community organizations. His involvement has extended to institutions working in areas such as education, social welfare, community development, women’s empowerment and charitable initiatives. This wider institutional engagement has helped shape the experience he now brings to his new responsibility in journalism and media.

The appointment as Consulting Editor of Working Journalists Times therefore comes at a point when Dr. Andani’s professional journey has already crossed several disciplines. His experience in finance gives him an understanding of economic and institutional matters, his academic background connects him with education and knowledge sharing, his social initiatives provide exposure to community-level concerns, and his literary work has increasingly placed him in conversations around writing and public thought.

For Working Journalists Times, his association brings a professional with an unusually broad perspective into an editorial and advisory environment. His experience across multiple sectors can contribute to discussions around journalism, professional development, social issues, economic awareness and the responsibilities of institutions working in the public sphere.

For Dr. Andani, meanwhile, the appointment represents more than another designation. It reflects the continuing evolution of a career that has repeatedly moved into new territories. From numbers and taxation to education, from social service to literature, and now further into journalism and editorial engagement, each chapter has added another dimension to his professional identity.

His latest appointment also comes at a time when the role of journalism itself is changing rapidly. The media landscape is being transformed by digital platforms, artificial intelligence, social media, instant information and changing audience behaviour. In such an environment, experience that combines professional knowledge, communication, social awareness and an understanding of institutions can become increasingly valuable.

Dr. Andani’s journey offers an example of how professional success can evolve into a broader platform for knowledge, service and public engagement. His latest responsibility with Working Journalists Times adds journalism to an already diverse portfolio and creates another opportunity for him to contribute through experience, guidance and perspective.

From a Chartered Accountant who built his career in taxation and financial consultancy to an educator, social worker, author, record-holder and now a consulting editorial advisor, Dr. Shankar Ghanshamdas Andani’s journey continues to expand rather than settle into a single definition. His appointment on Independence Day 2026 is another milestone in that evolution, marking the beginning of a new chapter in which his experience can find expression through journalism and the wider media ecosystem.

And perhaps that is what makes his journey particularly distinctive. The milestones may be counted in awards, records, books, poems, professional achievements and institutional responsibilities, but behind them lies a consistent idea: knowledge becomes more valuable when it is shared, professional success becomes more meaningful when it serves society, and every new platform creates another opportunity to contribute.

With his appointment as Consulting Editor of Working Journalists Times, Dr. Andani now enters yet another arena with the same expansive journey behind him and another chapter still waiting to be written.
